Individual Light Sources, Flashlights or Unusual Lanterns?

Individual light sources rescuers in the darkness of the pantry, barn, cellar or closet, flashlights - irreplaceable thing in the house of every person. How much more original and varied may be those very little things, we have already seen in the long-standing review of unusual lanterns. The second part of lanterns review will continue this theme today.

Water, juice, beer, soda and even urine - absolutely any liquid that can be found nearby, can serve as a source of energy for this amazing flashlight from Japanese inventors. Its name Water Powered Torch speaks for itself. So you can feel safe, I did not have to be in whatever the deep woods with this new product the Japanese industry.

Flashlight (e.g. the T6 flashlight) needs batteries to operate. A flashlight, which in itself is a battery, invented the designer Lu Yi. Externally, the concept did not distinguish from ordinary penlight batteries. Is that the LED light and the On/Off button. It will be given an additional purpose. Battery Light called device is a light source for both human and energy source for, e.g., watches, cameras or vehicle winding.

And also lanterns can help to lose weight for people with excess weight. Not all, but a conceptual device Jumping Light, which is a flashlight built into the rope, as if he could. Thus, these lamps consume kinetic energy. And the more a person jumps, the longer it will work then the flashlight. BTW, you can select the Flashlights or Unusual Lanterns at Banggood. Besides, you can easily get other lights and accessories (e.g. magic faucet) there with high quality and reasonable prices.

Powerful LED flashlight with CREE Q5

In the course of the reviews and to provide their own passive safety, I was commissioned in the lantern on the high-power LEDs CREE Q5, which generous dealer offers a complete whole slew of utilities such as: the holder on the steering wheel, extension tube under the battery size 18650 and compartment for three batteries AAA. An overview and testing of this wonderful flashlight, I propose to read this article.

Performance Claims
  • LED: Cree Q5
  • Housing material: aluminum
  • Modes of operation: full power, half power flicker (strobe)
  • Power supply: 3 batteries (or battery) or 1 AAA battery type 18650
  • Size: ~ body diameter 26 mm, length of lamp 100 mm ~, format by AAA and 3 ~ 110 mm, with an extension ring for 18650
  • The maximum distance coverage (in a focused mode): ~ 200 m
  • Current consumption: ~ 1000mA

Equipment
  • LED CREE torches (without batteries)
  • Extension tubes (for mounting the battery type 18650)
  • Compartment AAA batteries
  • Holder on a bicycle wheel (with spacers under the different diameters)
  • Lace (like on the wrist, but too narrow for this)

Test Results
  • Compared with the usual reflex, this flashlight provides uniform light spot all over him at range. Despite the power of the stain and illuminates the road, while riding a bicycle, the road is clearly seen in the spot light, and beyond.
  • Mounted on the steering wheel I did not like, because the design looks flimsy and material of which it is made, too, are not credible.
  • LED Power imposes certain restrictions on the duration of the work, so the best option of its power - it's all the same battery 18650. AAA batteries, it seems to me, actually use only as a backup power supply.

Conclusions
LED is really powerful, and the ability to focus, too, cannot be called useless function - using a narrow beam to the roof finishes and 16-storey building at a distance. So the conclusion for me is simple: you want a cheap and powerful flashlight, take this. BTW, you can select the CREE flashlights at Banggood. Besides, you can easily get other lighting accessories (e.g. the 10180 battery charger) there with high quality and reasonable prices.

How to Charge the Li-ion Batteries

Lithium-ion batteries are used as a source of energy in laptops and cell phones, video cameras and other consumer electronics (e.g. Manker Rambler flashlight). They are demanding to the voltage at the time of charging, and therefore should be charged by special charges.

Do not allow a complete discharge of batteries. They do not tolerate it and are easily damaged. It is recommended to maintain the charge level of at least 75% of the total. Lithium-ion batteries are charged on a "constant current / constant voltage". Unlike conventional batteries, lithium-ion requires a higher voltage per cell (about 3.6 V). If, for example, lead-acid batteries can be recharged slowly after full charge, the lithium ion devoid of such ability.

Ensure that the battery charging conditions. Lithium-ion batteries can operate at temperatures from 0 to + 60 ° C. In the negative temperature conditions, the battery stops charging them. A distinctive feature of the lithium-ion batteries (e.g. the Xtar 18650 battery) is a very high sensitivity to increased stress at the time of charging. There are times when the batteries from this light. To avoid such incidents, modern lithium-ion battery is inserted into a special electronic board which disconnects the battery if it is overheating. Another way to avoid overheating the battery is the use of "smart" chargers. Most modern chargers can determine the time of the full battery charge current on and off independently.

Connect the battery to the charger, and it, in turn, connect to the network. Some chargers allow you to choose the maximum current. For example, low-power batteries can be recharged current of 500 mA, and more powerful batteries - current of 1000 mA. This makes it possible to reduce the charging time. After charging, disconnect the battery from the charger. If the battery is not used for a long time, it is better to charge it at 60-70 percent.
